Fathom Analytics Alternative
Cookie-free and realtime like Fathom. Plus revenue, funnels and recurring audits.
Connect your payment provider and see which source, page and campaign brings revenue — plus funnels with per-step drop-off and recurring website checks, from €0 in the same system.
Start where you can stay.
Analytics history rarely moves cleanly between products. Start free with the system that already has the next layer built in: revenue attribution and funnels as well as audits, issues and verifiable proof when you need them.
Choose by fit
Both products measure cookie-free and in realtime. The difference is how far the analysis goes after traffic reporting.
Prelumen Analytics is a fit when
- You want to see which source, page and campaign brings paying customers, not just clicks.
- Selected conversions should go server-side to your own Meta or Google destinations.
- Analytics, recurring checks and the work on findings should live in the same system.
Fathom Analytics is a fit when
- Analytics should deliberately stay a pure traffic dashboard.
- Diagnostics and remediation deliberately live in separate tools in your setup.
- You deliberately cover revenue attribution and campaign activation elsewhere.
Capability comparison
The deciding question is how far the analysis should reach: to traffic reporting, or to revenue, conversion delivery and follow-through.

Decision guide
Choose by what should happen after traffic reporting.
Choose Prelumen
when revenue attribution, conversion delivery and the work on findings should run off the same signals.
Choose Fathom
when a focused privacy-first analytics dashboard is sufficient.
Clarify the scope first
when traffic reporting is enough today and where revenue attribution and audits should live is still open.
Frequently Asked Questions
- When is Fathom enough and when is Prelumen Analytics the better fit?
If your team needs traffic and event reporting and has revenue, diagnostics and compliance covered elsewhere, Fathom is a solid choice. Prelumen Analytics is broader by design: revenue attribution once your payment provider is connected, funnels with per-step drop-off, recurring checks and issue tracking run in the same system.
- Can we send conversions back to Meta or Google?
Yes, via the customer-owned Conversion API. It is off by default and delivers only to your own destinations: a Meta Conversions API endpoint or a Google Enhanced Conversions or Data Manager destination. Every signal first passes an active destination, an explicit event mapping, the DNT/GPC and consent check, supported identifiers and valid credentials; an explicit event_id is used for browser/server deduplication. It is not a customer data platform and not a replacement for tag management.
- Does Prelumen Analytics stay as simple as Fathom day to day?
Setup is the same: add the script, verify the data flow, done — usually a few minutes. The tracking script is selected per website as a profile, from 1.037 KB gzip in minimal mode; even the extended mode stays under ten kilobytes. Realtime views are available right after setup. Checks, issues and proof live in their own areas and only show up in day-to-day analytics when you open them.
- Is the privacy baseline comparable?
Both products default to cookie-free measurement without ad-network data sharing. Prelumen Analytics processes and hosts in the EU and respects Do Not Track by default; person-level views stay opt-in. Implementation details and legal context still shape the final outcome in either setup.
- Will we hit scope creep if we start with Fathom and add tools later?
Common pattern: Fathom plus uptime monitor, accessibility checker, security scanner and compliance tracker becomes a de-facto stack over time. Prelumen Analytics consolidates those check domains by design when stack growth is already on the horizon.
The same cookie-free measurement — plus revenue, conversion delivery and follow-through.
Use Prelumen Analytics when traffic, revenue and the work on findings should run off the same signals.
